Gifts That Improve Someone's Oral Health to Consider Giving This Year

Improving someone's oral health is one of the best things you can do. Many people can't afford to visit us regularly for lack of dental insurance. This situation affects mostly seniors who are retired and lost their coverage, as well as those who are unemployed.
In the United States, millions of people have at least one missing tooth, and the statistics for periodontal disease are staggering and continue to rise. Taking care of someone, even in a small way, can help a person avoid serious dental health problems in their future.
Oral Health Gifts
If you are inclined to share a gift to help someone's oral health, here are some excellent suggestions.
Toothbrushes. One of the best things you can give someone in need is a supply of toothbrushes. This is the essential item a person needs to protect their oral health. Make sure you purchase a soft-bristled toothbrush because those are the ones we recommend in general.
Dental Floss. Floss comes in many varieties, but any floss is better than none. You can choose from waxed, non-waxed, flavored or plain. There are also handheld floss products that are ideal for younger children.
Mouthwash. Mouthwash is not essential, but millions of people use it to freshen their breath first thing in the morning or before an important meeting at work.
Sugar-free Gum. While gum is considered a detriment to a person's oral health, chewing on sugar-free gum after meals when a toothbrush is not available, can be beneficial for your teeth and gums. Choosing a gum product that contains Xylitol, which doesn't damage the teeth.
A supply of toothpaste that contains fluoride and anti-cavity ingredients can also help someone in need. Our most generous donors have covered cleanings and some treatments needed by patients who can't afford to pay for them. We thank you for all the gifts.
